We hung around Antwerp again this weekend. It is so awesome to be able to stay in the city all weekend and to do many fun things and not have to get in the car one time.
On Friday night, we went to a festival called the Flying Pig. There are numerous weekly festivals or events that occur on Fridays during the Summer with live music, food and drinks. We have been to a few different ones over the past few months, and we closed out the Summer at this festival with a few friends. They are always fun because they are in different areas of the city so we get to venture out and explore new areas.
On Saturday, they were holding a Dragon Boat festival at on of the docks here in Antwerp. Dragon Boats are a Chinese tradition and Antwerp has an annual festival where any team can sign up, you just have to have enough people to fill a boat! It was hilarious to watch and you could definitely tell the teams that had practiced and the teams that were just there for the pure fun of it all. We watched a few races and watched the drummers and then headed to lunch. We ate lunch at an awesome quick serve place called Wok Away. They have various rice and noodle dishes. We were impressed, and we will definitely be back.

Some teams took the costumes more seriously than the racing |
On Sunday, we raced in a 5k race at the De Koninck brewery, the city brewery (see Week 19). We both had awesome finishing times, Molly even got a personal record! The best part of the whole race was the free beer at the finish line. After the race, we explored around the brewery and relaxed a bit before heading home before the rain came.

You can tell it is before the race because we are still smiling |
